A MultiPass is valid for 10 walk-on trips. The Island Resident column reflects a 10% resident saving and is available to verified Magnetic Island residents.

Important notice regarding Reduced Rates from 1 July 2026
We want to give our valued customers as much notice as possible: Reduced Rates for vehicle travel will not continue beyond 30 June 2026. Reduced rate walk-on fares will continue to be available — book online for the best rate.
From 1 July 2026, we’re introducing Magnetic Saver — an improved way to save on vehicle ferry travel that will be available to all customers. We encourage you to explore these fares as an alternative.

This surcharge aligns with industry practices during high-demand travel periods. We encourage customers to book early and plan ahead for these dates to secure their preferred travel times.

Walk-on Multi-Pass — Terms & Conditions
What you get: 10 one-way walk-on trips valid for 12 months from purchase. Turn-up-and-go travel between Townsville and Magnetic Island.
How it works
- Access your Multi-Pass via your online account – no printing needed
- Present your barcode at check-in; it’s scanned each trip
- Turn-up-and-go travel (no advance booking required)
- Up to 2 passengers can travel together on one scan (2 trips used)
- Each unused trip visible in your account balance
Pricing & Discounts
- Available in Adult, Pensioner, Child and Student fare categories
- Concession fares require valid proof (card/ID) at check-in
- Children under 4 travel free; no trip required
- Extra items (kayaks, paddleboards, ski boards, oversized goods) charged separately
Key Terms (Important)
- Non-refundable – No refunds for unused or partially used passes (including change of mind)
- Not transferable – Linked to your account only; cannot be sold, gifted or shared permanently
- 12-month expiry – Unused trips lapse after 12 months from purchase; no extensions
- Voyage cancellations – If we cancel a voyage, your trip is automatically returned (no action needed)
- Turn-up-and-go only – Subject to available capacity; no guaranteed seat
What to do at check-in
- Open your online account and present your barcode to staff
- Staff will scan it (one scan for each passenger travelling)
- Board subject to available space on the vessel
- One trip per passenger; two passengers travelling together = two trips used
Your account responsibility
- Keep your account secure – any use of your barcode is your responsibility
- Check your remaining trips before travelling
- If you allow another person to use your pass, you remain liable for that trip
